We offer a trauma-informed resilience training program for associations and their members.

A world where

nonprofits thrive,

not just survive.

Where leaders feel supported,

not exhausted.

Where social impact work is sustainable,

not sacrificial.

MISSION

To fortify nonprofit leaders and social impact organizations with the tools, strategies, and resilience needed to withstand political, economic, and systemic challenges—without compromising their mission or burning out.

We train leaders to navigate trauma, sustain their organizations, and adapt to hostile conditions while serving their communities with strength, clarity, and purpose.

At a time when nonprofits are under attack, we stand as a force of protection, innovation, and renewal—ensuring that those who help others do not become casualties of the systems they fight against.

VISION

A world where nonprofits thrive, not just survive. Where leaders feel supported, not exhausted. Where social impact work is sustainable, not sacrificial.

Trey Malicoat, M.S., is a nationally recognized expert in trauma-informed leadership, non-profit resilience, and mental health. With over 27 years of experience in crisis intervention, psychology, and executive training, he has helped countless organizations and leaders navigate political suppression, funding instability, staff burnout, and systemic trauma.

As a university educator, Trey has taught trauma, grief, human development, and crisis intervention courses at the University of Denver, Western Oregon University, Oregon State University, and the University of Oregon. His expertise in neuroscience, behavioral psychology, and trauma healing provides non-profits with science-backed strategies to sustain their mission, retain staff, and thrive under pressure.

Trey’s work spans national crisis response efforts, including direct involvement in major disaster interventions, advocacy initiatives, and resilience training for frontline workers.

A sought-after speaker, trainer, and consultant, Trey has developed comprehensive resilience frameworks that help non-profits remain financially stable, operationally strong, and emotionally equipped to handle the pressures of today’s social and political climate. His work is rooted in the belief that organizations must invest in the well-being of their teams to survive and make a lasting impact.

"Non-profits are the backbone of our communities, but they are being pushed to the brink. If we don’t equip leaders and staff with the tools to withstand today’s pressures, the organizations we rely on most will collapse. Resilience isn’t a luxury—it’s survival."

Susie Pitts, CMA, CGE, is a trusted expert in grief, life transitions, and meditation. With over 30 years of experience helping individuals and organizations navigate emotional and structural change, she specializes in trauma-informed mindfulness and somatic healing. She provides non-profits with the tools to foster resilience, manage stress, and create emotionally sustainable workplaces.

Her work focuses on grief processing, nervous system regulation, and leadership well-being, ensuring that non-profit professionals can support their communities without becoming overwhelmed by the weight of their work. Susie has trained thousands of executive directors, frontline staff, and community leaders in meditation, breathwork, and trauma-sensitive healing practices to enhance emotional stability and prevent burnout.

As a certified meditation and grief expert, Susie integrates scientifically backed mindfulness techniques with practical strategies for navigating loss, leadership fatigue, and organizational transition. She has collaborated with non-profits working in hospice care, mental health, and emotional crisis response, providing critical emotional support for teams facing intense social and political pressures.

Susie’s approach helps non-profits cultivate calm, clarity, and focus while sustaining their mission in unpredictable environments.

"In times of uncertainty, non-profits must strengthen their inner foundation. Resilience begins with mindful leadership, emotional balance, and a workplace culture that supports healing as much as action."
